As worldwide spread of the new coronavirus and its related illness, COVID-19, has progressed, many changes in daily life have occurred. Most importantly, minimization of contact with others has been recommended or required to prevent transmission of the infection. At the same time, it has been recognized that some activities are essential for the physical and mental well-being of individuals and for maintenance of core functions of society (e.g. healthcare and commerce), and strategies for personal protection when interacting with other people have been identified.
After careful consideration of both the needs of our patients and our responsibilities to our local, state, and national communities, CNS has chosen to suspend all in-person services until the current public health crisis has come to an end. We will, however, offer some services remotely via Lifesize, a HIPAA-compliant videoconferencing platform. (Step-by-step instructions for joining a Lifesize call are available here.) Our staff and doctors will discuss this change and its implications in detail at the beginning of appointments, and patients are invited to call us with questions at any time.
We acknowledge that this change may be inconvenient, and we appreciate our patients’ partnership in promoting our shared wellbeing!
